Position Overview
The Senior Pricing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Government Sourcing organizations by evaluating and establishing fair and reasonable pricing for commercial products and services in support of FAR Part 15 contracts.
This position leverages market research, pricing analysis methodologies, financial principles, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure regulatory compliance while driving competitive and strategic pricing outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience working within government contracting environments, and the ability to develop innovative pricing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Analysis & Market Research
- Conduct market research and pricing analysis to evaluate supplier pricing for commercial products and services.
- Analyze comparable commercial offerings to establish fair and reasonable pricing benchmarks.
- Develop and document pricing analyses that support business objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize financial and analytical tools to evaluate pricing trends, supplier proposals, and market conditions.
Government Contract Compliance
- Apply knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations to ensure compliance in all pricing activities.
- Support pricing strategies for FAR Part 15 proposals.
- Ensure pricing documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and government contracting requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple functional areas, including:
- Sales and Business Development Teams
- Proposal Operations
- Product Line Leadership
- Engineering Teams
- Procurement
- Subcontract Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information, validate assumptions, and develop pricing recommendations.
Strategic Analysis & Decision Support
- Develop creative and strategic pricing solutions to address complex business challenges.
- Present pricing insights, recommendations, and findings to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support business decisions through detailed financial and pricing analysis.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Economics
- Business Administration
- Engineering
- Related field
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in:
- Pricing Analysis
- Price Analysis
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Finance
- Accounting
- Experience working with FAR and DFARS regulations.
- Experience supporting pricing activities for government contracts.
