Communications Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of strategic, integrated communications programs that support key business initiatives across multiple external audiences.

This role is responsible for developing communication strategies, managing complex projects, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering impactful messaging across multiple communication channels. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with strong project management skills, exceptional writing abilities, and experience managing multiple high-profile initiatives simultaneously.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic, integrated communications programs for multiple external audiences.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans, including multi-channel strategies and tactical execution.
  • Manage communications for high-priority corporate initiatives and significant organizational changes.
  • Serve as the communications strategist for assigned programs, projects, and stakeholder groups.
  • Partner with corporate and business leaders to develop communication strategies, key messaging, and execution plans.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with brand standards, market positioning, and organizational objectives.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple concurrent communication projects across business units.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead and participate in project meetings while effectively balancing stakeholder priorities.
  • Track project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and overall communication effectiveness.
  • Monitor project status and provide regular updates to leadership.

Content Development

  • Write, edit, and review communication materials for a variety of audiences and communication channels.
  • Manage creative strategy and collaborate with design and creative teams to produce effective communication materials.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business partners and creative teams.
  • Develop key messaging that supports corporate, division, and project objectives.

Communications Strategy & Analysis

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication channels and messaging strategies.
  • Recommend ongoing enhancements to communication programs and processes.
  • Analyze communication workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Measure communication performance and recommend continuous improvements.

Team Collaboration

  • Provide strategic communication guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Recommend tactical work assignments to support team priorities.
  • Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver successful communication initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional communications experience.
  • Experience developing communication strategies across multiple communication channels and audiences.
  • Strong project management experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Exceptional written, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing customized messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing or content creation applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting corporate communications or strategic communications initiatives.
  • Experience managing agency or creative team relationships.
  • Background in change management or executive communications.
  • Experience measuring communication effectiveness and developing performance metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
