Overview
Client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support complex application feature enhancements, requirements analysis, business process improvement, application delivery, testing strategy, and credit card platform initiatives. This role works closely with business, technical, QA, security, and risk teams to translate business needs into clear technical requirements aligned to product roadmaps and strategic priorities.
Core Responsibilities
- Contribute significantly to the design process to ensure solutions support business requirements and an optimized user experience.
- Capture requirements for a highly complex system and/or multiple systems across multiple stakeholders.
- Apply SDLC knowledge to support execution of project deliverables.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements with appropriate detail for development teams.
- Evaluate user needs, risks, impacts, and business scenarios when defining requirements.
- Partner with technical and business teams to support business objectives and align work to the roadmap.
- Work with QAS teams to develop project testing strategy.
- Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality application releases and user experience.
- Advise on security, risk management, and IT process principles.
- Escalate issues to appropriate teams as needed.
- Partner with security and risk teams to ensure technology portfolio changes follow required standards.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Extensive experience with requirements analysis, business requirements, technical requirements, and non-functional requirements.
- Experience capturing requirements for complex systems and/or multiple systems across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and formal application delivery methodologies.
- Experience translating business needs into detailed technical requirements for development teams.
- Business process modeling experience, including current-state documentation, problem identification, opportunity analysis, and process improvement.
- Business data analysis experience, including collecting, identifying, analyzing, and interpreting business data.
- Software product business knowledge, including install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
- Familiarity with credit card platforms such as TSYS/FIS and Client.
- Strong understanding of process improvement, core application systems, customer-focused solutions, cross-team integration, analytical thinking, accuracy, strategic thinking, and stakeholder communication.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- SQL proficiency to read and write queries and perform data mapping.
- BigQuery experience.
- Miro or Draw.io experience.
- Confluence experience.
Work Details
- Remote role.
- Manager preference for candidates in Cleveland, OH; Buffalo, NY; or Albany, NY.
- Start date: 06/29/2026.
- End date: 06/25/2027.
