Overview
Client is seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to develop, execute, and maintain test strategies and plans for embedded software products. This role focuses on creating and managing test artifacts, ensuring requirements traceability, and supporting software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will work closely with development and test teams to execute test efforts, manage defects, maintain test environments, and contribute to the delivery of reliable embedded software solutions.

Core Responsibilities
• Execute test cases according to established test plans and accurately document, report, and track defects.
• Develop and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test procedures, reports, and manual or automated test scripts.
• Create and manage test schedules, monitor progress, and report execution status.
• Ensure requirements traceability throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Manage defect tracking activities in Jira, coordinating issue resolution from identification through closure.
• Administer configuration management for test environments and laboratory equipment.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on software testing experience; recent graduates with a strong interest in software testing are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages used for automation, including Python, C, or C++.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work on-site in New Freedom, Pennsylvania.

Preferred Skills or Experience
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation for embedded systems.
• Experience with embedded software testing tools and frameworks and Client ALM.
• Experience with harness testing and regression testing.
