Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support vehicle management software development for current aircraft platforms and future aircraft systems. This role will focus primarily on the embedded software development lifecycle and will contribute across requirements, design, implementation, integration, and flight test within an Agile software development team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Contribute to new software development for vehicle management software supporting current and future aircraft platforms.
  • Support the full technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system design, software design, implementation, integration, and flight test.
  • Develop embedded software for real-time systems.
  • Participate in Agile software development activities.
  • Support avionics services, including ground station development and mission systems software technologies.
  • Perform integration activities across live assets, simulated systems, and laboratory environments.
  • Work with constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.
  • Integrate hardware and software across complex host environments.
  • Support automated test methodologies and software validation activities.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Experience with C and/or C .
  • Experience with Linux or RTOS and associated development toolchains.
  • Experience developing software for embedded real-time systems.
  • Experience with systems engineering processes, including requirements development, use cases, and data flows.
  • Experience integrating hardware and software.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development team.
  • Experience with Agile software toolchains such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, or Confluence.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with networking protocols such as IP, UDP, or RTP.
  • Active Secret clearance with investigation within the last 5 years or CE enrollment required.
  • Special Access required to start.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience with safety or flight-critical software development processes, including MIL-STD-516C, MIL-HDBK-1797, or AC-17-01.
  • Experience with automated test methodologies.
  • Experience with Vehicle Management System architectures.
  • Experience with avionics services, ground station development, or mission systems software technologies.

  • Onsite full-time role.
