Overview
Client is seeking a Level 4 Software Engineer to support the migration of a software development network to an AWS GovCloud-based environment. This role requires strong AWS GovCloud, GitLab pipeline, DevSecOps tooling, C 11, Python, Linux, and object-oriented software development experience within a collaborative engineering environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Support migration of a software development network to an AWS GovCloud-based system.
- Set up and support software development pipelines and development environments.
- Develop and maintain software using C 11, Python, and Linux-based development practices.
- Work with GitLab pipelines, YAML, Nexus, Artifactory, and Jira.
- Collaborate daily with engineering team members in a highly interactive environment.
- Participate in Agile software development practices.
- Troubleshoot development pipeline issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or another Engineering/Science-related discipline.
- AWS GovCloud expertise.
- GitLab expertise, including pipeline and YAML experience.
- Nexus expertise.
- Artifactory expertise.
- Jira expertise.
- C 11 proficiency.
- Python proficiency.
- Linux-based software development experience.
- Object-oriented software development experience.
- Active Secret clearance with investigation in the last 5 years or CE enrollment.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- CMake experience.
- Atlassian tool suite experience, including Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in daily collaborative environments, including occasional pair programming.
- Agile product development experience.
- Software estimation experience.
- Experience offering process improvement ideas.
- Ada proficiency or Ada software testing experience.
- GitLab pipeline troubleshooting.
- Green Hills compiler for Ada.
- AUnit for Ada unit testing.
- Gnatmake.
- VectorCAST.
- CppUnit.
- Gcov/Gcovr.
