Nesco Resource is hiring a Slasher Operator for a local textile manufacturing facility. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused individual with textile, machine operating, or manufacturing experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor slasher/sizing machinery used in the preparation of yarn for weaving
- Load and position warp beams onto the slasher machine
- Monitor yarn tension, speed, temperature, and sizing application throughout production
- Thread yarn through machine components and prepare equipment for production runs
- Inspect yarn for breaks, defects, uneven sizing, or other quality concerns
- Repair broken ends and make minor machine adjustments as needed
- Monitor production specifications to ensure proper quality and consistency
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and beam changes
- Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean and organized
- Report mechanical or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Follow all plant safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Perform additional textile production duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous textile manufacturing experience preferred
- Slasher, warping, weaving, yarn processing, or machine operating experience is a plus
- Ability to operate and monitor industrial production equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Willingness to learn textile production processes
