We are seeking reliable and hardworking Shop Helpers
to support daily operations in our steel manufacturing facility. This entry-level position assists welders, fabricators, and machine operators, helping keep the shop floor running safely and efficiently. It's a great opportunity! Spanish speakers also welcome to apply.
Pay:$15-$16 per hour with overtime

Key Responsibilities
- Assist welders, fabricators, and machine operators with material handling, setup, and cleanup
- Load, unload, and move raw steel, sheet metal, and finished products using hand trucks, forklifts, or overhead cranes (training provided)
- Cut, grind, deburr, and clean metal parts as directed
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
- Sort, label, and stage materials and finished goods for shipping or the next production step
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots)
- Perform other duties as assigned by shop supervisors
- High school diploma or GED preferred, not required
- Prior warehouse, construction, or manufacturing experience a plus, but not required — willing to train
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery, heat, and noise
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn hands-on skills
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials
- Stand, bend, kneel, and climb throughout shift
- Work in an environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and machinery
- Wear required PPE at all times
