Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced and dependable Shipping Supervisor
to lead the 1 st
shift operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipping, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead 1 st shift shipping team members
- Oversee daily shipping operations, including scanning and documentation
- Ensure all shipping deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
- Monitor inventory control and material flow processes
- Utilize Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for reporting and scheduling
- Coordinate effectively with first and third shift supervisors during transitions
- Train, coach, and provide performance feedback to team members
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Report issues, discrepancies, or concerns to the Shipping Manager promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of shipping experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Prior supervisory experience required (automotive manufacturing preferred)
- Proficiency with scanning systems and shipping documentation
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Forklift certification with at least 2 years of forklift experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
Salary: $20-$25 an hour based on experience
