Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Associate Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting warehouse and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key requirements:
- Experience in warehouse receiving and inventory management
- Strong ERP data entry/computer skills (Oracle experience preferred)
- Forklift operation experience (load & unload trucks)
- High level of accuracy in counting and inventory control
- Strong attention to detail
We are looking for someone who can step in quickly and maintain efficiency and accuracy in our receiving operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily shipping and receiving duties.
- Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assemble, package, label, and palletize orders for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate pickups, returns, and tracking information with carriers.
- Prepare shipping documentation and international paperwork as needed.
- Process incoming shipments physically and within IQMS software.
- Inspect incoming materials and verify shipment accuracy.
- Utilize shipping vendor software and carrier websites.
- Trace shipments and provide proof of delivery when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area.
- Remove excess cardboard, pallets, and debris daily.
- Support production operations and assist in other departments as needed.
- Follow ISO Quality standards, Lean Manufacturing principles, and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
Qualifications:
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and loading/unloading trucks is a plus.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn shipping software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to assist where needed.
