Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping outgoing orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, able to work in a fast-paced setting, and committed to accuracy and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Verify order accuracy before shipping
- Label packages and create shipping documentation
- Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
- Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies
- Inspect packages for damage and ensure quality standards are met
- Keep shipping and warehouse areas clean and organized
- Follow company safety procedures and warehouse policies
- Coordinate with receiving, inventory, and customer service teams as needed
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Basic computer and scanner/RF gun skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures
