Position Summary
Nesco Resource is seeking a motivated Sheets Processor/Operator to support manufacturing operations at a leading medical device manufacturing company in New Hartford, NY.
The Sheets Processor/Operator will operate manufacturing and testing equipment, perform production processes, maintain accurate documentation, and provide support for the manufacturing of medical device products.

Key Responsibilities

Perform charge make-up, melting (VIM), stripping, weighing, cutting, and welding to produce electrodes for re-melting (VAR).

Set up and operate VAR and ESR melting processes.

Perform rolling operations and generate roll-downs for internal and external test sampling.

Set up rolling equipment according to proper procedures.

Read, understand, and follow manufacturing procedures and work instructions.

Maintain production records and enter data into electronic files.

Perform routine equipment maintenance, including minor repairs and modifications.

Perform redraw, wire drawing, cleaning, and annealing processes.

Maintain accurate production records and product identification.

Prepare, inspect, and pack products for shipment.

Receive, identify, sort, document, store, and distribute bar, coil, slab, sheet, and wire samples for chemistry, metallographic, and mechanical testing.

Safely handle hazardous materials and waste as required for production processes.

Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

A minimum of two people must be present at the facility when performing any manufacturing or maintenance process.
Qualifications & Requirements

Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed procedures and work instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and hazardous materials.

Ability to accurately maintain production records and documentation.
-
Manufacturing, machine operation, metals processing, or similar experience is a plus.

Willingness to complete required hazardous waste training.
Hazardous Waste Training: Initial hazardous waste training is required before working with hazardous waste. Annual hazardous waste training is required for employees working with hazardous waste. All required hazardous waste training will be provided.
