We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to craft precision components. You will be responsible for cutting, bending, and forming metal to exact engineering specifications using press brakes and shears in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brakes, bending equipment, and shears to fabricate sheet metal components.
- Cut, bend, and form sheet metal to precise specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, mark, and verify materials before fabrication.
- Select proper tooling and adjust machine settings based on material type and thickness.
- Calculate and verify bend dimensions to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Inspect finished parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, angle gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Deburr, grind, and finish fabricated parts as needed.
- Identify quality issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with additional fabrication and production duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of recent sheet metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience operating press brakes and sheet metal shears is required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Strong knowledge of measuring tools, shop math, fractions, and material layouts.
- Experience fabricating steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic welding or mechanical assembly experience is a plus.
- CNC, powder coating, and water jet machine experience.
