Job Description
This position will be responsible for operating a roll former, brake, press and shear. Additional shop duties will include: moving materials, picking orders, building shipping pallets, driving forklift and other general shop duties.
Essential Functions
1. Operate Sheet Metal roll formers, metal brakes, press and sheer
2. Prepare, fabricate and complete orders for according to schedule: load, pack, wrap, label, ship
3. Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
4. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
5. Other warehouse duties may include: operating forklift, wood saws, machinery
Competencies
· Proven working experience in manufacturing, sheet metal experience
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the organization
· Basic math skills
· Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds)
· Forklift experience
· High school degree or equivalent
· Ability to follow and adhere to standard safety practices
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Minimum hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30 p.m. or later to coincide with shop hours of operation. Overtime as required to meet all essential functions of position.
Required Education and Experience
High School degree or equivalent
