Role Requirements
Mid-level Salesforce engineer with client-facing experience
Must have consulting/service-based background (not just internal)
Technical skills: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, FSL, CPQ/quoting experience
Industry experience preferred: manufacturing, distribution, financial services (credit unions/mid-sized banks), healthcare payer/insurance
Certifications nice but not critical - Andy has hired people with 12 certs who are not good and prefers practical skills
Geographic & Remote Work
90% client-facing work is virtual, occasional on-site for kickoffs/mid-project
Priority locations: Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay/Fox Valley), Chicago
Avoid: California, New York (too expensive, franchise tax issues)
Acceptable: Tennessee, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Midwest generally
Company has employees in 9 states
Compensation & Structure
Salary range: $90K-$130K
Lower end ($90K): younger talent, upper 20s/lower 30s, 4-6 years experience
Hourly equivalent: $55-65/hour
Higher salaries often don't correlate with better performance
Geographic salary variations: California/East Coast higher, Midwest/South more reasonable
Work Environment & Team Structure
Matrix organization, 70% team-based projects (3-5 people: PM, BA/QA, solution architect, developers)
30% solo managed services (8-16 hours/week with client)
70% existing Salesforce environments (enhancement/optimization), 30% new implementations
