Contract Recruiter – Hourly Manufacturing
Role Summary
The Contract Recruiter will manage a high-volume portfolio of entry-level, hourly manufacturing requisitions and deliver full-cycle recruiting support from initial intake through offer and pre-onboarding.
This position will partner closely with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition Coordinators, and the Managed Service Provider (MSP) Talent Acquisition vendor to ensure efficient requisition management, onboarding coordination, and timely candidate processing.
The Recruiter will also be responsible for building talent pipelines and delivering a strong candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruiting process.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruiting

Manage a high volume of open requisitions for entry-level, hourly manufacturing positions.

Execute the full recruiting lifecycle, including:

Hiring strategy

Candidate sourcing

Screening
-
Interview coordination
-
Candidate selection
-
Offer recommendations and negotiations

Pre-onboarding
-

Manage multiple requisitions and hiring priorities simultaneously while ensuring timely candidate movement throughout the recruiting process.
Hiring Manager Partnership

Lead structured recruiting intake and strategy sessions with hiring managers.

Partner with hiring managers to establish:

Candidate profiles and requirements
-
Sourcing strategies and channels
-
Interview plans
-
Selection criteria
-
Hiring and decision timelines
-

Maintain consistent communication with hiring managers throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development

Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hourly manufacturing hiring needs.

Source candidates through a variety of channels, including:

Community colleges

Workforce development programs

Recruiting Operations & Coordination

Partner with Talent Acquisition Coordinators on:

Interview scheduling

Onboarding coordination

Partner closely with the MSP Talent Acquisition vendor to support efficient requisition management, onboarding coordination, and candidate processing.

Maintain accurate recruiting and candidate information within applicable systems.

Ensure recruiting and onboarding activities comply with established requirements and processes.
Recruiting Metrics & Process Improvement

Track and report on key recruiting metrics, including:

Time-to-fill
-
Offer acceptance rates
-
Talent pipeline activity
-

Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and overall efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications

5–7 years of recruiting experience, with demonstrated expertise in full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions.

Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of requisitions simultaneously.

Experience sourcing and developing talent pipelines for entry-level and hourly positions.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to independently prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Knowledge of recruiting and onboarding compliance requirements.
-
Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
