Prominent construction firm in Saratoga County is looking for a Senior Estimator to join its growing firm. General responsibilities would include:
- Analyzing blueprints and other project documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates
- Assessing the cost effectiveness of projects or services, tracking actual costs as the project develops
- Consulting with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
- Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project
- Conducting site visits and gathering all necessary data (like number of workers, equipment and materials needed)
- Using software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
- Presenting estimates to clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
- Bachelors Degree in related field; experience will be considered in lieu of a Degree
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with civil experience strongly preferred
- Strong communicative skills, expertise managing client correspondences
- Experience working with Estimating software and MS Office
