We are seeking an experienced Architect to support the planning, design, and execution of industrial and technical facility projects. This is a 6-month contract assignment supporting a multidisciplinary engineering and design team.

The Architect will contribute to facility design projects that may include industrial manufacturing, chemical/process facilities, laboratories, life sciences, operations buildings, maintenance facilities, renovations, expansions, and other capital projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural designs, layouts, and construction documents for industrial and technical facilities.
  • Establish design criteria based on project scope, client requirements, applicable building codes, and industry standards.
  • Develop conceptual layouts and evaluate design alternatives to determine practical and efficient solutions.
  • Coordinate architectural designs and deliverables with engineering disciplines and project teams.
  • Review building plans and site designs for code compliance, life safety, accessibility, constructability, and design quality.
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, design packages, reports, and other project documentation.
  • Support facility planning and integration of architectural requirements with structural, mechanical, electrical, process, and other building systems.
  • Participate in client and project team meetings and communicate design recommendations.
  • Assist with project schedules, deliverables, scope changes, and quality control.
  • Utilize Revit and BIM-based workflows to develop and coordinate architectural designs.
  • Support projects from conceptual design through construction documentation and project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited university.
  • 10 years of architectural experience preferred.
  • Registered Architect and/or NCARB certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, commercial, laboratory, life sciences, chemical processing, petrochemical, or similar technical facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety requirements, accessibility standards, and architectural design practices.
  • Experience developing conceptual studies, design packages, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Revit and BIM-based design workflows.
  • Experience coordinating architectural deliverables across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of facility planning and building systems integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
