Overview

Client is seeking a Senior Adobe Experience Manager Architect to design, build, and optimize AEM solutions supporting customer-focused digital experiences. This role requires deep hands-on AEM architecture, component development, cloud implementation, performance optimization, and technical leadership experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable AEM components following Adobe best practices.
  • Lead AEM template, workflow, and dispatcher configurations to support high availability and performance.
  • Guide AEM Cloud implementations aligned with Adobe cloud-native capabilities.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, DevOps, and security teams on deployments, optimizations, and system upgrades.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers.
  • Troubleshoot complex authoring, performance, and integration issues across the AEM platform.
  • Oversee and optimize AEM integrations with Adobe CJA Analytics, Adobe Launch, and third-party services.
  • Define and enforce security, accessibility, SEO, UX, and analytics best practices.
  • Lead code reviews, technical design sessions, and solution architecture discussions.
  • Maintain and evolve technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to align AEM capabilities with business goals.
  • Provide leadership in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning and execution.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • 10 years of overall software development experience.
  • 8 years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of recent architecture experience.
  • Extensive experience with AEM core technologies, including Apache Sling, OSGi, JCR/CRX, AEM Workflows, and AEM Dispatcher.
  • Expertise in AEM as a Cloud Service and modern cloud deployment strategies.
  • Strong experience with HTL/Sightly, Java, JavaScript, ReactJS, NextJS, and NodeJS.
  • Strong understanding of J2EE architecture and scalable web application design.
  • Experience with server-side rendering, caching strategies, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
  • Ability to lead technical design, architecture discussions, and code reviews.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Azure Kubernetes Service knowledge.
