Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the finance team through general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and special projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post assigned general ledger journal entries and other financial transactions.
- Collect, compile, and analyze financial data to support the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Assist with financial reporting and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
- Support senior analysts with ongoing accounting and reporting activities.
- Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with established accounting procedures and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Foundational understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Sorting and filtering data
- Formulas and functions
- Pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures while meeting deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
