Material Handler / Forklift Operator
Program: MTH Seats
Location: Statesville, NC
1st Shift| 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr starting pay
Opportunity for increase to $17.00/hr once forklift skills are demonstrated onsite
Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support the MTH Seats program. This position will primarily involve operating a forklift to move seat racks throughout the facility safely and efficiently. Candidates must have prior forklift experience and be comfortable handling large racks containing automotive seats.
Responsibilities:
• Operate a forklift to transport and stage seat racks throughout the warehouse
• Move racks containing automotive seats safely and efficiently
• Load, unload, and organize materials in designated areas
• Supply materials to production and shipping areas as needed
• Inspect materials and racks for damage or defects
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines
• Assist with general warehouse and material handling duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Previous forklift experience is required
• Ability to safely move large seat racks (8 seats per rack; 2 wide x 4 long)
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work throughout the shift
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime as needed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Additional Information:
Candidates who demonstrate strong forklift ability and performance may be increased from $16.00/hr to $17.00/hr.
