Overview
Client is seeking a Scrum Master to support a cross-functional agile scrum team delivering high-quality modern software solutions. This role will lead scrum team execution, surface and resolve sprint risks, facilitate agile ceremonies, and support agile adoption across Merchant Services and broader technology, operations, and service initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum processes, ceremonies, and events to improve team maturity and delivery effectiveness.
- Surface, track, and help resolve sprint risks, blockers, dependencies, and team-level roadblocks.
- Support teams in developing sprint goals, product backlogs, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done and ready.
- Promote agile values and principles through transparency, inspection, adaptation, and delivery of high-value increments.
- Facilitate program-level agile ceremonies, including dependency mapping, release planning, and scope alignment across product teams.
- Enable communication and partnership across scrum teams, stakeholders, product teams, and delivery partners.
- Protect the team from distractions so they can focus on sprint and program commitments.
- Coach team members on self-organization, cross-functionality, and high-performance agile delivery.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years working in an agile environment as a development team member, Scrum Master, or Product Owner.
- 5+ years working as a Scrum Master.
- Strong Scrum facilitation experience across agile ceremonies and delivery routines.
- Experience using data-driven metrics to improve agile team performance.
- Expert knowledge of agile practices, value-driven development, requirements management, prototyping, hypothesis-driven development, and usability testing.
- Expert knowledge of agile tool suites such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, Monday.com, or similar agile management tools.
- Strong ability to facilitate, solve problems, influence outcomes, and remove delivery impediments.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Experience as a Project Manager in a waterfall environment.
- Familiarity with both agile and waterfall delivery methods.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise agile transformation.
- Scrum Master experience in a scaled agile environment.
