Schedule: Second Shift 3:30pm-12:00am

Under direction of department supervisor or manager, performs the cleaning and sanitization of all liquid, topical product manufacturing, transfer, delivery system components and filling equipment.

Essential Job Functions

- Compliance with all GMP, Safety and SOP's.

- Take all precautions when working with cleaning and sanitizing agents as recommended by Material Safety Data Sheets and other company safety requirements suck as PPE.

- Maintains product transfer pumps in proper operating conditions, both mechanically and compliance with sanitary cleaning procedures.

- Communicates with Management and Supervisors as to the status of any equipment state of readiness.

- Clean, sanitize and maintain excellent standards for facility.

- Maintain accurate sanitation records.

- Report inventory & equipment problems to the Department Manager.

- Clean working area and equipment after usage.

- Follow appropriate sanitary procedures while handling inventory.

- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment.

- Dismantle, clean, sanitize and reassemble production equipment including fillers, pumps and mixers.

- Follow sanitation procedures precisely, without exception.

- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

- Maintain facility and equipment according to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and regulated food production standards cGMPs.

Supervisory Responsibility

- None.

Working Conditions

- Strong interaction with Sanitation Manager, Production Manager and Supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

- 2 years' Experience.

- Must conform to all quality standards of the company.

- Must observe the company core values.

- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to stand for up to 7 hours.

- Work frequently in a wet/humid & slippery environment.

- Able & willing to work overtime.

- Ability to take initiative and work without close supervision.

- Motivated, self-starter takes initiative and self-directed.

- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic; Team player.

- Detailed oriented, mechanically inclined and organized person.

- Excellent verbal communication skills.

- Must speak fluent English. Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful.

- Knowledge in the use of cleaning supplies & chemicals and capable of comprehending additional training in sanitation & safety regulations.

- Help train new employees in all areas of Sanitation department.
