The Sanitation Attendant is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing manufacturing equipment, production areas, and facilities to maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. This role helps ensure that all sanitation procedures meet company standards, quality requirements, and applicable health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, floors, walls, and work areas according to established procedures.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed for thorough cleaning.
- Follow sanitation schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
- Remove waste, debris, and recyclable materials from production areas.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections to verify cleanliness and readiness of equipment.
- Complete sanitation records, checklists, and documentation accurately.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety policies, food safety standards (if applicable), and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.
