Job Summary:
The Roller Wrapper is responsible for preparing, wrapping, labeling, and staging finished textile rolls for storage and shipment. This position ensures all finished products are packaged according to company quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wrap finished textile rolls using stretch wrap, plastic film, or other approved packaging materials.
- Inspect rolls for defects, damage, and proper identification before wrapping.
- Apply labels, barcodes, and production documentation accurately.
- Weigh and verify finished rolls according to production specifications.
- Operate pallet jacks, hoists, or other material handling equipment to move rolls safely.
- Stack and stage wrapped rolls in designated storage or shipping areas.
- Assist machine operators by removing finished rolls from production lines.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required paperwork or electronic entries.
- Keep the work area clean and free of debris while following 5S housekeeping standards.
- Report damaged materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and quality procedures.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or textile experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hour shifts.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and climb stairs as needed.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving machinery.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, and any other required protective equipment.
