Position Overview
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to support high-volume operational hiring in a fast-paced environment. In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with hiring managers to develop and execute strategic staffing plans that ensure critical positions are filled efficiently.
This position requires regular travel to domestic hiring events, where same-day hiring decisions may be made. The ideal candidate is an experienced full-cycle recruiter with strong sourcing abilities, a data-driven approach to recruiting, and the ability to build relationships with hiring leaders and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for high-volume operational positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies.
- Conduct detailed intake meetings to define hiring requirements and ensure accurate job descriptions.
- Source qualified candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social media, networking, and other sourcing methods.
- Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates using competency-based and behavioral interviewing techniques.
- Guide hiring managers through best practices for interviewing and candidate selection while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Track recruiting activity and provide hiring managers with timely updates on candidate pipelines.
- Monitor recruiting metrics, SLAs, and KPIs, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain accurate applicant records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, business leaders, HR, Legal, Labor Relations, and Talent Acquisition teams.
- Collaborate with third-party recruiting partners regarding requisition status, hiring processes, union contract questions, and pay validation.
- Conduct recurring business reviews with leadership to discuss hiring strategy, recruiting progress, and workforce planning.
- Travel to domestic hiring events multiple times each month, including occasional weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent recruiting experience.
- Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High-volume recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting in a unionized environment.
- Experience conducting competency-based interviews.
- Experience reporting on recruiting metrics, KPIs, and SLAs.
- Experience with enterprise Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including SuccessFactors, Taleo, iCIMS, or similar platforms.
- Experience sourcing candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Experience planning and conducting hiring events.
- Previous experience within the airline, aviation, transportation, or logistics industry.
