Position Summary
The R&D Technician supports research and development activities by performing laboratory experiments, tests, and analyses. This role is responsible for executing procedures accurately, maintaining laboratory operations, and ensuring reliable data collection to support product and process development.
The position focuses on hands-on laboratory work, technical support, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Work & Testing
• Perform routine and non-routine laboratory experiments, tests, and evaluations
• Prepare samples and materials according to established procedures
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow test methods, protocols, and work instructions
Data Collection & Documentation
• Accurately record experimental data, observations, and results
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, databases, or electronic systems
• Compile data into basic reports, spreadsheets, or summaries
• Ensure data integrity and traceability
Quality, Safety & Compliance
• Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and company policies
• Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Handle and dispose of chemicals and materials safely
• Support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Project Support
• Assist scientists and engineers with research projects
• Support product development, testing, and validation efforts
• Help meet project timelines and deliverables
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors
Collaboration
• Work effectively with team members across R&D and related functions
• Share observations and provide feedback on lab processes
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment

Qualifications

Education
• Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience
• 0–3 years of laboratory or technical experience
• Internship, co-op, or academic lab experience preferred
