Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to help ensure that every product leaving the facility meets the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and precision. This role is especially critical in a woodworking and cabinetry environment, where attention to detail and finish quality are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, cabinet building, or woodworking, along with a strong understanding of quality standards in a production setting.

Schedule:
11:59 am – 8:30 pm, Monday – Friday (occasional Saturdays)


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections on cabinetry components and finished products.
  • Evaluate wood materials, cuts, finishes, and assembly for quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship.
  • Use measurement tools (tape measures, calipers, squares) and visual inspection techniques to verify product specifications.
  • Ensure cabinets and wood products meet company standards, design specifications, and customer expectations.
  • Identify defects such as improper cuts, alignment issues, surface damage, or finish inconsistencies.
  • Record inspection results accurately and maintain documentation for traceability.
  • Collaborate with carpentry, assembly, and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality control records, including inspection checklists and corrective action reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to woodworking, assembly processes, and product quality.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training in carpentry or woodworking preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, cabinet making, or carpentry.
  • Hands-on experience with woodworking tools, materials, and cabinet assembly processes strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality control tools and measurement equipment (calipers, tape measures, squares, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects in woodwork, finishes, and assembly.
  • Basic understanding of woodworking materials, construction methods, and manufacturing processes.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting (Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, etc.).
