Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to support, maintain, and continuously improve our Quality Management System (QMS), with a strong focus on ISO 9001 compliance and certification.

In this role, you will work closely with the Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure quality processes, documentation, audits, corrective actions, and quality records meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements. You will play an important role in supporting ISO 9001 certification and surveillance audits while identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Coordinate and support ISO 9001 certification, recertification, and surveillance audits.
  • Develop, revise, maintain, and control quality system documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and process maps.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits, document findings, and support corrective action activities through timely and effective closure.
  • Support external customer, registrar, and supplier audits.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities, including effectiveness verification.
  • Monitor and analyze quality system performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and audits, recommend corrective actions, and provide input regarding supplier quality performance and approval decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure quality records are properly maintained in accordance with company and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and operational policies.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting or maintaining a Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and managing corrective action processes.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management system principles.
  • Experience creating, revising, maintaining, and controlling quality documentation.
  • Experience participating in or leading ISO 9001 certification, recertification, or surveillance audits.
  • Experience developing or implementing QMS procedures and quality processes.
  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training or certification preferred.
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, or similar methodologies.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality management, supplier evaluations, and supplier audits.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting, leading, or participating in the achievement and ongoing maintenance of ISO 9001 certification.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic document control systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
