Overview

Join a leading aerospace manufacturing company in Chandler, AZ, as a key leader in quality assurance and process management. This role involves overseeing operations in quality-related departments including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Part Marking, Final Product Certification, and Shipping. You will play a crucial role in supervising personnel, driving continuous improvement, maintaining process compliance, and ensuring product quality to meet production goals.

This position demands a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations, quality systems, lean manufacturing, and team development. Collaboration with engineering, quality, operations, and management teams is essential to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations and supervise personnel within assigned departments.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track and report department KPIs to ensure performance metrics are met.
  • Manage employee scheduling, training, performance reviews, and development.
  • Address employee relations and performance management in partnership with HR and leadership.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize production processes.
  • Ensure personnel are trained and compliant with safety and procedural standards.
  • Revise departmental procedures and work instructions for clarity and accuracy.
  • Manage inventory levels to support production schedules.
  • Troubleshoot ERP and system-related issues affecting operations.
  • Address non-conformances and quality concerns proactively.
  • Work cross-functionally to implement process improvements and reduce costs.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within manufacturing.
  • Experience in detail-oriented manufacturing processes with strong process control.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and management teams.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop employees while enhancing operational performance.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Investment casting experience.
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments with strict quality controls.
