Nesco Resource is partnering with a local manufacturing company in Elmira to hire an experienced Quality Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong PPAP experience and a background in the automotive manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System.
- Lead PPAP activities, including control plans, PFMEAs, measurement studies, and capability data.
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Lead audits, corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
- Manage customer complaints and nonconforming materials.
- Monitor quality metrics, scrap, and rework.
- Support SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
- Supervise and develop Quality Department employees.
- PPAP experience is required.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous manufacturing quality management or quality assurance experience.
- Knowledge of QMS, PFMEA, SPC, control plans, audits, and corrective actions.
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
