Inspector – PCB / Electronics / Finished Products


Position Summary:

The Electronic Inspector is responsible for performing visual and mechanical inspection of electronic assemblies, PCBAs, components and finished products to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 standards, internal quality and customer requirements.
 

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform incoming, in-process and inspection of electronic assemblies, including SMT and through-hole components.

- Perform final inspection of finished product to ensure product is compliant to sales orders and customer requirement.

- Inspect PCB assemblies using microscopes, magnification tools, and measurement devices.

- Evaluate solder joints, component placement, polarity, labeling, and workmanship in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 2/3 criteria.

- Review work orders, assembly drawings, BOMs, and specifications to verify compliance.

- Document inspection results clearly and accurately using company quality systems.

- Verify rework and repairs performed according to IPC-A-610 and related standards.

- Support incoming inspection of electronic components as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following ESD and safety protocols.


Required Qualifications:

- 2–5 years of experience in electronics assembly or inspection.

- IPC-A-610 Certification

- Strong understanding of SMT, through-hole, and mixed technology assembly processes.

- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, and work instructions.

- High attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.

- Familiarity with ESD procedures and safe handling of electronic components.

- Proficient in documenting findings and using quality control software or systems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of IPC-7711/7721 rework and repair standards.

- Background in ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.

- Experience in manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defense, medical, or industrial electronics.
