Quality Inspector – Manufacturing
Location: Tulsa, OK  |  Type: Full-Time  |  Pay:$24.00–$28.00/hr
We are hiring a Quality Inspector for a growing manufacturing operation in the Tulsa area. This position will work directly with production to ensure manufactured components and finished products meet established quality requirements before moving through the production process or being released for shipment. This is a hands-on shop-floor quality position, well suited to someone with previous inspection experience in a fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:

  • Inspect manufactured components and completed assemblies for conformance to drawings and quality requirements
  • Perform receiving inspections on raw materials and purchased components
  • Review blueprints, drawings, and production documentation to verify product requirements
  • Identify defects, dimensional issues, material problems, and other nonconforming conditions
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Communicate quality concerns to production and management when issues are identified
  • Assist with the disposition and resolution of rejected or nonconforming materials
  • Verify required inspections and documentation are completed before product release
  • Maintain organized inspection and quality documentation
  • Work with production personnel to address recurring quality issues
  • Recommend improvements to inspection processes when opportunities are identified
  • Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing drawings
  • Experience inspecting fabricated or manufactured components
  • Comfortable working directly on a production floor
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize workmanship or dimensional issues
  • Ability to accurately complete inspection and quality documentation
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred: experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, industrial equipment, or structural fabrication
Physical / Work Environment
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Regular standing and walking throughout the production area
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and access various inspection points as needed
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working around fabrication equipment, machinery, and typical manufacturing noise levels
