Job title: Quality Inspector
Location: Avon Lake
Nesco Resource is hiring a Quality Inspector
to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished products
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges
- Read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Identify and document nonconforming parts
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Verify material identification and traceability
- Create Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) for customer shipments
- Report quality concerns and assist with corrective actions
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality department
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of manufacturing or quality inspection experience (aerospace experience preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good math, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- ASQ Certification or Internal Auditor Certification is a plus
Shift 1 st
shift (530 am to 4 pm Monday through Thursday)
