Quality Inspector – 1st Shift

Pay:$17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Location: Horseheads, NY
Employment type: Temporary with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment

Nesco Resource is hiring a Quality Inspector to help ensure manufactured products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Most workweeks are 40 hours, with minimal overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.

• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection tools.

• Read engineering drawings and specifications, including standard and metric measurements.

• Record inspection results and SPC data accurately.

• Identify and help investigate defects or quality concerns.

• Support quality audits and improvements to inspection procedures.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Previous quality inspection experience preferred.

• Experience with precision measuring equipment and vision systems preferred.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and perform basic measurement calculations.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with ISO quality processes preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
