Quality Control Technician
Watervliet, NY | $20–$25/hr | Full-Time | On-Site
Are you mechanically inclined, strong in math, and detail-obsessed? This is an excellent opportunity for a recent technical school graduate or early-career quality professional looking to build long-term experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
We are partnering with a highly specialized manufacturer whose components are used in advanced industrial, medical, and research technologies. This role offers hands-on training, exposure to advanced inspection equipment, and the chance to grow your technical skillset in a stable, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:
- Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- Assist with CMM and automated vision inspection systems
- Conduct visual, mechanical, and basic electrical testing
- Generate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation
- Support root cause investigations and quality audits
- Work both on the manufacturing floor and in an office/computer-based setting
- High school diploma required; technical or 2-year degree strongly preferred
- Strong math skills (comfort with decimals and measurements is critical)
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Detail-oriented and comfortable with repetitive precision work
- 0–2 years of manufacturing or quality experience preferred
- Experience with CMM or inspection equipment is a plus
- Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
- $20–$25/hour
- Occasional overtime available
- Temp-to-hire or direct hire for the right candidate
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have Real ID-compliant license, enhanced ID, or passport
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
