Aerospace CMM Quality Inspector
Join a growing aerospace manufacturing environment where precision and quality are critical to production success. This role is ideal for an experienced inspector with strong knowledge of CMM operation, GD&T interpretation, blueprint reading, and precision measurement equipment in a machining or aerospace setting.
What You’ll Do
- Perform in-process, first article, and final inspections on aerospace machined parts and assemblies
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to support production and inspection processes
- Utilize precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, radius gauges, air gauges, and surface plates
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to verify compliance
- Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and inspection reports
- Identify and document non-conforming parts, deviations, and rework requirements
- Support manufacturing and engineering teams with troubleshooting and quality improvement efforts
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2+ years of quality inspection experience in machining or manufacturing
- Experience operating CMM equipment required
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Hands-on experience using precision inspection and measurement tools
- Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with FAI documentation, AS9102 standards, and quality reporting preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
