Quality Inspector

Location: 47th Ave & Roosevelt – Phoenix, AZ
Pay:$20.00–$24.00/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift
Hours: Must be able to work 10–12 hour shifts
Overtime: Frequent overtime available, including Saturdays as needed
 

Shift Flexibility: This position will initially be on 1st Shift. Candidates must be open to working either 1st or 2nd Shift, as a move to 2nd Shift may be required in the future based on business needs.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet company and customer specifications. This position is responsible for identifying defects, verifying dimensions, documenting inspection results, and supporting overall product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Verify dimensions, appearance, assembly quality, and manufacturing tolerances.
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Identify, tag, segregate, and document nonconforming parts.
• Communicate defects and quality concerns to production and quality leadership.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Support final inspections and testing, including leak, pressure, or performance testing as required.
• Maintain proper care and calibration of inspection tools and gauges.
• Participate in process audits and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow safety, ISO, and company quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Understanding of manufacturing tolerances, materials, and processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cosmetic, dimensional, or functional defects.
• Good documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–6 months of related manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.
• Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd Shift as business needs change.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift.
• Ability to lift and handle 20–50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and repetitive movements.
• Must be able to work 10–12 hour shifts and overtime, including Saturdays as needed.
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, vibration, moving equipment, and temperature variations.
• Required PPE may include steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hat.
