- Inspecting automotive parts to make sure they meet customer and company specifications.
- Performing initial, in-process, and final inspections of parts.
- Using measuring and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and quality.
- Identifying defective or nonconforming parts and determining whether they can be accepted or need correction.
- Performing audits of production processes and finished products.
- Checking incoming materials/parts before they enter production.
- Recording inspection results and maintaining quality documentation.
- Working with production employees and supervisors to correct quality problems.
- Following work instructions, company quality procedures, and automotive quality-system requirements.
- Helping identify the cause of defects and prevent them from recurring.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer requirements.
