Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Data Analyst to support a high-reliability aerospace and defense electronics manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing quality, statistical analysis, and business intelligence who can transform production data into actionable insights that improve product quality, reduce defects, and drive continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Program Management teams across multiple production sites to analyze complex manufacturing data, identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and build dashboards that support executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing quality data to identify trends, defects, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Perform root cause analysis using SPC, Six Sigma, regression analysis, hypothesis testing, Pareto analysis, and other statistical methods.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI or Tableau dashboards tracking KPIs such as First Pass Yield (FPY), defect rates, scrap, and quality performance.
  • Build automated reporting solutions using SQL, Python, VBA, or Alteryx.
  • Create and maintain ETL processes to collect, validate, and manage manufacturing data from multiple systems.
  • Present analytical findings and quality metrics to engineering, manufacturing leadership, and executive teams.
  • Support ISO 9001, AS9100, and regulatory compliance through audit-ready reporting and documentation.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Change Control Boards to drive corrective and preventive actions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing or quality data within a production environment.
  • Strong experience with SQL and Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods including SPC, process capability, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
  • Experience communicating technical data to cross-functional teams and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace, Defense, Electronics Manufacturing, Medical Device, or other high-reliability manufacturing experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Python, Alteryx, VBA, or ETL automation experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone with a blend of Quality Engineering and Data Analytics experience who enjoys solving manufacturing problems through data. The ideal candidate has a strong statistical background, experience building executive dashboards, and the ability to influence process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
