Overview

Client is seeking a Software QA Engineer to support the validation of new and existing software features through manual and automated testing. This role will partner closely with engineering teams to ensure product quality by developing test strategies, executing UI and API automation, validating AI-driven features, and supporting release readiness in a fast-paced development environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated test cases for new and existing product features.
  • Reproduce, document, triage, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Write, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test plans.
  • Support QA leadership with test strategy development and test plan creation.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to monitor quality metrics and testing progress.
  • Conduct product audits to improve QA coverage and identify testing gaps.
  • Perform bug audits to identify product quality trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support release readiness activities for small to medium-sized features.
  • Lead test execution for small to medium-sized projects and feature releases.
  • Represent the QA team during status meetings when QA leadership is unavailable.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional teams in an onsite environment.
  • Support confidential product initiatives requiring exceptional attention to detail.
  • Execute specialized testing initiatives including benchmarking and battery testing.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • 5 years of software quality assurance experience.
  • Strong experience with both manual and automated software testing.
  • Hands-on UI and API test automation experience, with API automation required.
  • Experience testing AI-driven features and validating non-deterministic outputs.
  • Ability to read, understand, and debug application code.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing tools, and software development processes.
  • Experience developing and maintaining test plans and test cases.
  • Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Experience creating quality dashboards and tracking testing metrics.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced development environment.

  • Experience with product quality audits.
  • Experience with release readiness activities.
  • Experience performing benchmarking or battery testing.
