Schedule: 6:30AM-6:30PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, every other Saturday.
Quality Assurance Shift Auditor will be an integral part of ensuring only product that meets specification is being produced and allowed to be shipped to our customers. They are responsible for reporting non-compliance product to the plant leadership team and assure that this same product is handled in accordance with SQF guidelines.
Perform Quality Assurance Verification & Auditing Functions
Random SOC verification audits in all WFT departments
• Audit all equipment at least once daily.
• Discrepancies will be noted on an audit report form and given to plant management (VSL, GPL, TPL, and Quality Manager.
Positive Release Verification
• Ensure that all proper Quality paperwork has been completed and checks are done correctly and timely.
Perform required quality checks and audits
• Positive identification of raw materials being used.
• Positive identification of colors to print standard.
• Coat weight, print relief, and all SPC charts
• Green Bond Test verification & audit
• Print repeat verification & audit
• Positive identification of wind direction
• Roll edge alignment verification
• Slitting roll label and packoff daily audit.
• Non-conforming material data entry
• Documentation compliance for Job Packets, SPI's, Control Charts, and VIO.
• Visual defects audit to include Corrugation, Print Defects, Wrinkles & Creases, Tunneling, and Contamination.
Provide on shift support as a Quality expert
• Assist and sometimes lead Quality Investigations (5 Why & additional Root Cause tools).
• Participate in Continuous Improvement exercise to improve Quality (Poke-Yoke & Process Improvement).
• Help disposition material located in Qhold.
• Present findings to management
Quals--
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Must be a highly motivated, self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Must have strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills coupled with a willingness to promote and uphold a Quality focused culture.
• As a team member, follow all safety, quality, plant GMP and safe food handling rules
• Knowledge of Rollstock printing product specifications.
• Must have the willingness to learn Statistical Process Control methodology if not already known.
