JOB DESCRIPTION FOR: QUALITY INSPECTOR
JOB SUMMARY
This position may be a split shift between the First and Second shift and is hourly. Goal is to "fill in the gap in the Quality department as necessary or required by Quality Manager.
EDUCATION
Computer, Quality Inspection, Internal Auditor, basic CMM, and Communication skills. High School Diploma or Higher education is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB
- Fill in for absent roaming Inspectors and CMM operators on 1 st & 2 nd shift as required (vacation) and properly notified
- Participate in problem investigation for causes of problems with QEs, Inspectors
- Contribute to Internal Audits, Quality Inspection Audits, Control Plan Audits
- Participate in other audits as necessary
- Input computerized data in various programs as needed.
- Backup as Final Inspector as needed
- ISO 14001 coordinator
- Assist in compiling Last Shot information
- Develop Paycom training as required for Quality Department
OTHER FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Perform daily metal testing on all furnaces as required
- Perform daily incoming metal testing as required
- Other job duties as assigned
