Nesco Resource is hiring a Quality Control Inspector!
We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector for a full-time opportunity in a precast concrete manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for inspecting precast concrete products throughout the production process to ensure they meet required quality standards, specifications, dimensions, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect precast concrete products during various stages of production.
- Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Inspect forms, molds, reinforcing steel, rebar placement, embeds, and other components before concrete placement.
- Verify product dimensions, measurements, alignment, and overall workmanship using blueprints and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and production documents.
- Inspect finished concrete products for cracks, chips, voids, honeycombing, surface defects, and dimensional issues.
- Verify proper placement of rebar, wire mesh, embeds, lifting devices, and reinforcement materials.
- Use tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and communicate non-conforming products or materials to production leadership.
- Assist with determining corrective actions when products do not meet quality requirements.
- Verify repairs and rework meet required specifications.
- Monitor production processes to ensure established quality procedures are followed.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and management to resolve quality concerns.
- Follow all company safety, PPE, and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous Quality Control, Quality Inspector, construction, concrete, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Precast concrete experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Strong measurement and basic math skills.
- Experience using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Ability to accurately complete inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Comfortable working around concrete production, cranes, forklifts, and heavy equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform inspections throughout the shift.
- Strong communication, attendance, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or textile experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as needed.
