Overview
Client is seeking an experienced IT Project/Program Manager to lead multiple fast-paced enterprise technology initiatives with distributed teams. This role will manage large-scale IT implementations and system upgrades across the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, deployment, risk management, stakeholder communication, and vendor coordination.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee multiple simultaneous IT initiatives with distributed teams.
- Lead IT initiatives through the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, scope, milestones, budget, status tracking, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Design and maintain project vision, working standards, and team agreements.
- Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage issues and troubleshoot problems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track, update, and communicate project status related to progress, budget, resource utilization, change requests, issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to business, IT, vendor, and executive stakeholders.
- Use data analytics to track project performance, optimize processes, and support informed decision-making.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- 5–10 years of experience in Project/Program Management for large-scale IT implementations.
- 5 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional technology implementations or system upgrades.
- Experience managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment.
- Strong proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience managing third-party vendors against SOW deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across business, IT, and executive leadership.
- Experience coordinating with offshore or global delivery teams.
- Excellent communication, escalation, and decision facilitation skills.
- Hands-on experience managing system upgrades, including SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
- Strong understanding of release management, defect triage, and risk mitigation practices.
- Familiarity with integrated systems, APIs, and operational platforms.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
- Experience in airline, cargo, or logistics systems.
- iCargo or equivalent platform experience.
- Experience with IBS Software platforms.
- Experience with enterprise integrations, including APIs, messaging systems, and operational platforms.
