Position Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting engineering projects from concept through completion. This position works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, technically proficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Create and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (3D).
  • Collaborate with internal teams using Microsoft Teams and other communication tools.
  • Support project management activities, including scheduling, resource coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Apply mechanical aptitude to evaluate designs, troubleshoot problems, and support manufacturing processes.
  • Assist management in meeting project objectives, customer requirements, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (3D).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams for collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong background in project scheduling and coordination.
  • Demonstrated leadership or project management experience.
