Project Cost Controller
Help keep projects on track by turning financial data into meaningful business decisions.
We're looking for a detail-oriented professional with 4–5 years of experience supporting project financials, job costing, reporting, and budgeting in a construction, industrial, manufacturing, or oil & gas environment. You'll work closely with project managers and operations leadership to track project performance, analyze costs, and provide the financial insight needed to keep projects moving forward.
Pay & Benefits
Compensation:$60,000–$90,000 (based on experience)

What You'll Do

Track project budgets, job costs, and financial performance.

Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Build reports and spreadsheets from scratch to support project and operational decisions.

Analyze cost trends, identify variances, and help improve project profitability.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting.

Partner with project managers, accounting, and operations leadership on active projects.

Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial documentation.

Recommend process improvements that increase reporting accuracy and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

4–5 years of experience in project accounting, cost control, financial reporting, project controls, or operational finance.

Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or oil & gas is required.

Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including creating reports and financial tracking tools.

Experience using ERP or accounting systems.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
