About the Role
We're looking for a Project Coordinator to help manage automotive manufacturing and production launch projects from start to finish. This position works closely with customers and internal teams to keep projects on schedule, track progress, resolve issues, and ensure deadlines are met. You'll typically support two to three active projects at a time while working alongside engineering, production, quality, purchasing, logistics, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate assigned projects from kickoff through completion.
- Track project schedules, milestones, budgets, action items, and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for customers on assigned projects.
- Schedule and participate in customer and internal project meetings.
- Record meeting notes, action items, and follow up to ensure completion.
- Coordinate activities between Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales, and other departments.
- Monitor supplier readiness, material status, and delivery timelines.
- Identify potential project risks and communicate concerns to the PM Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Prepare project status reports and KPI updates.
- Work with the Project Assistant to ensure shipping, labeling, inventory, and documentation are completed accurately.
- Assist with project changes, recovery plans, and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience in project coordination, manufacturing, automotive, or production environments is preferred.
- Strong entry-level candidates with relevant education or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
- Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier experience.
- Experience supporting new product launches or production transfers.
- Experience tracking project schedules, budgets, materials, or supplier activities.
- Familiarity with KPI reporting and customer project reviews.
- Experience managing multiple projects at the same time.
Work Environment
- On-site position in Toledo, OH.
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime as needed.
- Occasional travel to customer or supplier locations may be required.
- Combination of office work and time spent on the production floor while following all safety requirements.
