Overview
Client is seeking an IT Project Coordinator to support IT project delivery, project financial tracking, resource administration, project documentation, testing coordination, and general project execution. This role will assist Project Managers with work plans, reporting, meeting facilitation, risk tracking, quality reviews, and coordination across business, technical, vendor, and IT leadership groups.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with project goals, deadlines, priorities, resource administration, financial management, presentations, and general coordination tasks.
- Manage project financial trackers for forecasting and spending.
- Update systems used for project spend tracking.
- Monitor and report on cross-project dependencies.
- Assist Project Managers with the development of project work plans.
- Maintain project document repositories and keep key project information current.
- Ensure project quality, timeliness, and results meet Project and Portfolio Management expectations.
- Lead and facilitate quality inspections of key project documentation and artifacts.
- Facilitate performance testing discovery sessions to identify performance testing requirements.
- Manage the impact of project changes on testing schedules and processes.
- Coordinate project activities across vendor partners, functional teams, technical teams, business representatives, and IT leadership.
- Provide guidance to project and business resources for test script development.
- Report on quality and testing status throughout the project.
- Develop test plans, test approaches, and success metrics for each testing cycle.
- Support defect management and coordinate with the appropriate teams to determine root cause and path to resolution.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, or an equivalent technical area of study.
- Minimum of 3 years working as an IT project team member.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify project risks and make decisions based on risk analysis.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to communicate appropriately across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage workload and set priorities with little supervision.
- Strong meeting facilitation skills.
- Strong financial acumen related to project financials.
- Leadership and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project assignments simultaneously.
- Strong presentation and critical thinking skills.
- Effective conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Project management methodology certification.
- Agile or Scrum certification or training.
- Experience with Planview for resource and financial management.
- Experience with Micro Focus Quality Center.
- Power BI report creation experience.
- Knowledge of Confluence, Planview AgilePlace, and other Agile tools.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and processes.
Work Details
- Remote role.
- Candidates in all U.S. locations considered.
- Must be willing to support Eastern Time.
- Candidates local to NY or Charlotte, NC are preferred.
- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Some schedule flexibility may be required based on project needs.
- Assignment expected through end of year, with possibility of extension based on demand.
- Interview process includes a first-round panel video interview and a possible second-round panel video interview.
