Position Summary
Responsible for the manufacturing of liquid pediatric and medical nutritional products through the operation, monitoring, and documentation of computer-controlled processing systems. Ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality standards, and regulatory requirements while safely handling raw materials, operating manufacturing equipment, and maintaining accurate production records.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled blending processes for nutritional product manufacturing.
- Weigh, stage, and document batch ingredients using computerized weighing systems.
- Prepare, operate, monitor, and document Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems used for manufacturing equipment, including tanks and heat treatment systems.
- Prepare and process product line operations, including standardization, final water additions, flavors, oils, and other ingredients.
- Manufacture bulk slurries and support blending operations according to production schedules and work orders.
- Operate and monitor computer-controlled heat treatment processes.
- Receive, transport, and handle bulk raw materials, ingredients, and CIP chemicals safely and efficiently.
- Maintain GMP compliance through routine equipment cleaning, sanitation, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping activities.
- Follow detailed batch records, work orders, and standard operating procedures while maintaining accurate production documentation.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues while ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to support production goals and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Additional college coursework or vocational training preferred.
- Previous food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutritional, or batch-processing experience preferred.
- Experience working in GMP-regulated environments and with computerized manufacturing systems is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards.
- Ability to operate computer-controlled manufacturing and processing equipment.
- Strong written, verbal, and computer skills.
